Menopause care that stays with you

Menopause is not a problem solved in a single appointment. For most women, it is a journey that unfolds over months and years – with symptoms that change, treatments that need adjusting, and questions that arise long after the consultation is over. The York Clinic Membership is designed for exactly that reality.

Around half of our patients choose membership. Not because they have to – but because having a clinician who knows them, remembers them, and is available when they need support makes an enormous difference to how they feel and how well their treatment works.

A named clinician – yours, for as long as you are a member Every membership patient has a dedicated clinician. You will not repeat your story to a different doctor at every appointment. You will not start from scratch. Your clinician will know your history, your treatment, and what has and hasn’t worked – and will build on that knowledge every time you are in contact.

A three-month follow-up appointment – included Your three-month review is the most important appointment after your first consultation. It is when we assess how your treatment is working, make any adjustments needed, and plan the next stage of your care. For members, this is included in your membership at no extra cost.

Ongoing six-monthly check-ins Every six months, your clinician will check in with you – a structured review of how you are feeling, how your treatment is performing, and whether anything needs to change. This is not an automated message. It is a proper clinical review.

Direct email access to your clinician between appointments If something changes, if you have a question, or if you are not sure whether what you are experiencing is normal – you can email your clinician directly. Not a receptionist. Not a generic inbox. Your clinician. This level of access is rare in any medical setting, private or NHS.

No prescription fees
Prescription fees are included in your membership when you receive medication through our pharmacy partner. Your medication is dispensed the same day and delivered to your door, with no additional cost, no chasing, and no running out.

Guaranteed medication supply
As a member, your medication supply is guaranteed. We pre-purchase stock on behalf of our patients so that HRT shortages – which have caused real disruption across the UK, never affect you. Your treatment continues uninterrupted.

Monthly cost

£36.99/month

Per appointment

For women who expect to need more than one or two follow-up appointments, or who want the reassurance of knowing their clinician is available between appointments, membership is almost always better value.

£36.99 per month, billed by direct debit. There is no minimum term beyond the monthly payment cycle. You can cancel at any time.

Your first consultation is not included in the membership fee — this is booked and paid for separately. Membership begins after your initial appointment, once your treatment plan is in place.

Yes – at any time. There is no lock-in, no cancellation fee, and no pressure to continue. If your symptoms resolve, if you transfer back to NHS care, or if your circumstances change, you can cancel with a month’s notice. Many patients pause and restart membership as their needs change that is absolutely fine.

Almost. We are one of the very few specialist menopause services in the UK to offer a membership model of this kind. When we launched it, no other comparable service offered anything similar. Since then, we have seen other providers begin to introduce their own versions – which we take as confirmation that it was the right idea.

The difference is that our membership was built around continuity of clinical care – not around commercial convenience. The named clinician, the direct email access, the guaranteed medication supply – these are clinical decisions, not marketing ones.

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions About Membership

Membership begins after your first consultation, once you have a treatment plan in place and have decided you would like ongoing support from The York Clinic.
Your membership includes a three-month follow-up and six-monthly check-ins. If you need an additional appointment outside of these, this can be booked at our standard follow-up rate. In practice, most members find the included appointments are sufficient – with direct email access bridging any gaps between them.
Contact your clinician directly by email. They will advise whether you need an earlier appointment or whether your situation can be managed by adjusting your current treatment. You are never left waiting for a scheduled review date if something changes.
Blood tests are not included in the membership fee but can be arranged through our pathology partner at our standard blood test pricing. Where a blood test is clinically indicated, your clinician will advise you and help arrange it.
Yes. If you have had a consultation with us and would like to move onto membership, contact us and we will arrange it.
Pay-as-you-go gives you the flexibility to book appointments when you need them, with no ongoing commitment. Membership gives you continuity, direct access, and included appointments for a fixed monthly cost. For women managing an ongoing treatment plan, membership is usually better value and a better clinical experience.
Yes. Many of our members receive their ongoing prescription through their NHS GP — which we are happy to support and facilitate — while retaining membership for specialist oversight and direct access to their clinician when they need it.
