Dr Helen Bedford is a GP and director of The York Clinic. She completed her medical degree in Manchester before moving back to York to undertake her GP training. With over 8 years experience as an NHS GP, she developed a passion for Women’s Health and specifically the menopause. Recognising the gaps in the provision for the services, she trained further with the British Menopause Society to become a Menopause Specialist. As well as working within a Women’s health service in York, she has set up her own Women’s Health clinic at her surgery in Driffield where she currently works as a GP.
In her spare time, she enjoys open water swimming, yoga and running. She is kept busy by her 2 young children and dog Ted. As a family they love spending time outdoors and travelling.
Together with Dr Read the creation of The York Clinic came from a desire to create a compassionate and personalised service dedicated to empowering a woman on her menopause journey.
